This project involved designing the visual identity for Belvoir St Theatre in Surry Hills. I created a dynamic logo to clearly depict the two distinct theatre spaces.

The lowercase ‘b’ represents the experimental, raw,
and intimate atmosphere of the downstairs theatre, which features emerging plays, while the uppercase
‘B’ reflects the bold, polished, and elevated grand narratives staged upstairs. Together, the lowercase
and uppercase 'B' function as a dynamic logo, visually communicating the transition from the experimental and raw to the bold and polished.

The overall visual identity upholds a beautiful balance between classic elegance and lively vibrancy, depicting the full scope of the Belvoir St Theatre's mission—one rooted in theatrical invention. The identity's inherent boldness and vibrant visual language effectively evoke the theatre's commitment to dynamic storytelling and its vital role as a cultural hub.
