into a local brand that feels right at home.
This project focuses on the brand identity for Zinc Bar Cronulla. The previous branding failed to reflect the social, spirited, and coastal lifestyle of the local community. The design solution
was shaped through strategic immersion in Cronulla’s culture, resulting in a vibrant and raw aesthetic that speaks directly to
its people. The new logo reflects the zinc worn by surfers and swimmers, adopting an organic and imperfect aesthetic, connecting to its local beach culture.
This rebrand successfully captures the authentic Cronulla lifestyle, transforming it into a timeless local brand that feels
right at home and deeply resonates with the community.

Life at Zinc A.M to P.M
Zinc Bar was previously constrained by limited evening hours, preventing it from truly embodying the full morning activity to evening unwinding that defines the Cronulla esplanade.
This rebrand responds to this business challenge by enabling
the operation to span the full A.M to P.M flow of the community. The new brand voice resonates with the locals, catchy and colloquial and allows the identity to seamlessly transition and resonate as both a relaxed morning coffee spot as well as a vibrant social evening venue.
Connect With Community
To cement Zinc Bar’s new position as a central local hub, the rebrand included a strategic extension into community sponsorship. By backing the annual Relay for Life event—a 24-hour walk for the Cancer Council, the brand visually and physically demonstrates its commitment to the A.M to P.M flow of Cronulla life. There are numerous interactive touchpoints across
the 24-hour event, including on-site espresso stations and engaging posters. This sponsorship was designed to be exciting and approachable, actively showing how Zinc Bar is involved in the community and reinforcing
its identity as a central hub for all locals.
